ViewWise SDK

The ViewWise SDK is designed for use by Systems Integrators, Corporate Developers and our Partners, who wish to build tight integration between ViewWise and other software applications.
Consisting of the SDK software, documentation, and sample code it has over 50 published API function calls and enables ViewWise Resellers and Integrators to develop integrated solutions with access calls that encompass all aspects of the ViewWise system, while continuing to maintain the security and data integrity mandated by the ViewWise security schema.
The ViewWise SDK is available for Java, and in the form of a Windows DLL.
This simple to use integration capability will enable the integration of multiple existing and or proposed applications to form one solution utilizing your customers existing hardware and software infrastructure.

The functionality set includes, but may not be limited to:

• Retrieve a list of ViewWise Servers (as registered in the client preferences).
• Retrieve a list of ViewWise Rooms maintained by a ViewWise server.
• Log on to a ViewWise Room (consuming a ViewWise license seat).
• Retrieve child nodes of a Node.
• Retrieve Documents under a node.
• Retrieve the Room’s Document types.
• Update a Shortcut.
• Delete a Shortcut.
• Send a Document to the recycle bin.
• Update a Document’s index field values.
• Add a comment to a specific Document.
• Retrieve comments of a specific Document.
• Retrieve the redactions of a specific Document.
• Create a new Node.
• Move a Node to a different parent.

  Terminology legend:
  Node = Represents a Cabinet, Drawer, or Folder as seen from the ViewWise Navigator in the ViewWise Desktop Client.
  Document = Represents a Document as seen in the ViewWise Document List.
  Document Type = Represents an index template containing a group of Index Fields.
  Shortcut = Represents a user defined shortcut to a Node and / or Document.
