ViewWise "The Paperless Office" can be used with Oracle 9i or Microsoft SQL 2000/2005 Data Engines - including the redistributable Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005 Desktop Engine (MSDE 2000). MSDE 2000 is a cost-effective entry point for use with The Paperless Office. However, MSDE 2000 has limitations that may affect features available in ViewWise, these include; 2 GB database size limit, 5 concurrent batch workload (connections) limit, and No Full Text Search (FTS) capabilities. MSDE 2000 can be scaled to a full Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Data Engine to accommodate expansion of the ViewWise system - without losing content.
ViewWise provides intuitive find capabilities using a comprehensive search interface with; Simple, Advanced, and optional Full Text Search functionality (FTS only available with qualifying database engines.)

ViewWise is Windows based. This simple, user-friendly approach enables the user to quickly become proficient with the application and minimizes the time required to realize optimum efficiency of the application. With it's advanced search capabilities ViewWise retrieves documents in seconds.
Any access to a document requested by a User must be passed to the ViewWise Java Server. The request is then validated against the ViewWise Security Model that is automatically derived from the Net Operating System security model (NDS or Windows NT Security). This ViewWise security model provides extensive multi-level security for users and groups, on Cabinets, Drawers, folders, and documents coupled with assignable user privileges. True three tier architecture ensuring security of data.
