imageFORMULA DR-3010C COMPACT SCANNER FOR ENTERPRISE WORKGROUPS

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., September 3, 2008 - To address the growing needs of fast-paced environments, Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leading provider of digital office imaging systems and solutions, today introduced the imageFORMULA DR-3010C Compact Workgroup Scanner – the fastest and most reliable color workgroup scanner to join the Canon DR-Series line. Incorporating the DR-Series’ advanced sensor technology and flexible, reliable document handling, the DR-3010C offers high speed scanning, a robust, solid design, and advanced features that contribute to overall workflow efficiency.
To help workgroups meet time and volume demands, the DR-3010C delivers speeds up to 30 pages-per-minute (ppm) and 60 images-per-minute (ipm) in either grayscale, black-and-white or color modes. With heavy-duty document feeding trays and paper guides, adjusting to fit any document size, and a slant paper path, the DR-3010C is able to process a wide variety of documents, including embossed plastic cards, serving more diverse scanning needs. The DR-3010C is also equipped with advanced image processing functions, including Automatic Color Detection, two Advanced Text Enhancement modes, and Prevent Bleed-Through / Remove Background to ensure precise image quality.

Synchronized to the connecting PC, the scanner can be set to automatically turn on and off as needed. Also, similar to many Canon products, the DR-3010C also meets ENERGY STAR standards for energy efficiency.
As a fully-equipped document imaging system, the DR-3010C comes bundled with a suite of innovative Canon and third-party software, including Canon CapturePerfect 3.0, Adobe Acrobat 8 Standard, ScanSoft PaperPort SE 11, Nuance OmniPage 4 SE and Presto! BizCard Reader 5.
