Computhink Continues to Add Valuable Features with its Latest Release, ViewWise 6.0
Chicago, IL, April 4, 2007 – Computhink, continuing with its mission to meet the ever evolving requirements and compliance demands of Small and Medium Enterprises, today released its most recent version of the ViewWise Product Line – ViewWise 6.0. The new release extends Computhink's product line of Document Management/Content Management solutions to include a full featured java-based Web Client, in addition to updated Email Archiving capabilities and an overall updated product look and feel.
"The business world is continually emphasizing that the features offered in a Desktop Client, also be offered in a Web environment,” said Vince Smolek, Product Manager for Computhink. "With our new 6.0 web client, we feel that we have delivered exactly that. Users will now be able to add, annotate, comment, and control content in the same ways that they are able to with our Desktop Client. This of course is in addition to the web clients existing capabilities which include the ability to view over 350 file formats, perform full text searches, email, fax, print, and much more.”
The continuing emphasis on new laws and rules requiring compliance, including Sarbanes Oxley, HIPPA, Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, and Freedom of Information Acts, has brought about a spotlight on Email Archiving Capabilities. In the 6.0 release of ViewWise, this has not been overlooked. Email messages can now automatically be acted upon after a set period of time. These actions include automatic deletion, report generation, or relocation of emails to different volumes or storage mediums; which can include compliant read-only storage solutions. John Stelmach, President of Computhink stated, “We feel that Email Archiving will continue to receive significant attention in Government, as well as within the Public and Private Sectors. As more and more companies do business via email, there will be even more emphasis on the ability to capture, track, and retain these email messages. ViewWise will help companies do exactly that.”
ViewWise 6.0 also offers a completely new polished look and feel. In this release, Computhink focused on refining the look of the Web and Desktop Clients, as well as the Server Management Interfaces. These refinements have added a modern feel, while increasing usability.
